Graphic report of the transmedia artifact and animation film “Black is Beltza”, a global narrative project directed by Fermin Muguruza.
This book tells of a story that emerged from a photograph was taken in New York in 1965. The image illustrated the news that the black giants of the Pamplona troupe had been prohibited from participating in a parade down the famous 5th Avenue. That fact prompted Muguruza, ten years ago, to weave with fine wickers a story between reality and fiction about that injustice and to capture it through a project. Thanks to the complicity achieved between various creators in a common work process, “Black is Beltza” has become a comprehensive entertainment experience. This book shows precisely how that process has been, and he does it at the hands of Fermin himself.
